Mercs in G1 were kinda boring and confusing. Actually the rogues didn't make sense. The mercs really hated the rogues yet they kept them around. In G2 Lares was supposed to be Lee's right hand man. In G1 Lares didn't really have anything to do with the mercs. Plus it didn't make sense to jump from full on combat char to mage, like you could do with the water mages.

Except for Cor Calom, and his stupid followers(who were fun to scatter into oblivion with my mage), the rest of the camp was friendly. All the camps had people who were less then friendly. Cor Angar and Lester are two examples of the more sane and friendly types in the swamp camp. Besides, they have more feeling then the other camps, along with brotherhood.
So, yes, JOIN US IN WORSHIP FELLOW BROTHER!
