I'm mathematically handicapped ... even though I'm quite good with huge amounts of numbers, like, seeing and correctly interpreting trends in huge tables.

Math and I have this little agreement. I add, subtract, multiply, divide, convert to percentages, and follow theoretical topics involving mathematics (such as tachyeon burrowing and quantum processing). In exchange, I never have to do a word problem.
So the answer to the question is: Who cares WHEN it started snowing? You still have to shovel the damn sidewalk until it's clear. _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi

By the bye, I get 11:00 for the snow question. Very clever problem, tho- even when you figure out the answer, you still can't tell how fast the snow is falling or how fast the person shovels- but the answer is the same no matter what those speeds are.[/quote]
Yeah, i got 11:00 too. But with only an Algebra II education, theres probably some beat all, end all factor that I don't know about. Good problem though, wasted 2hrs working on it. |

A man is found hanging in the middle of a barn, from a 12 foot high rafter. A note written in his handwriting proves this was a suiside. The only thing in the barn is a puddle and some rope. How did he hang himself?
There is a solid 20x20 foot sq cement room. In the room is a pipe. It is impeded 5 feet down in the cement. In the pipe is a
ping-pong ball. The ball just barely fits down the pipe. all you have is your underwear, and a rubbermallet. how do you get the ball out of the pipe.
(Time for an immature question )

Actually, if there are 17 apples and YOU take away 9...then YOU have 9 apples...get it??
i.e. if I had 17 apples, and YOU took 9...YOU would have 9..
so yes..a bit of a trick question.
Oh, and all of the months have 28 days...it's just that Feb. is the ONLY month with ONLY 28 days..(every month has AT LEAST that many.)
Of course Britain has a 4th of July...just like every other day ... Would you say they don't have a July 5th if that was a Holiday in the States?? _________________ Member of the "Fantastic ONE"
