Sunry (Spoiler)

Is there anyway to get Sunry to throw himself on the mercy of the court?

I just went through the trial two ways. The first was to give up the recording at the beginning. Bingo. Sunry convicted, trial over.

The other was to prove him innocent. I tried but failed,

I now know how to get him off - read it on the Bioware board. But it doesn't seem like a very nice solution. They guy really is an SOB - he doesn't seem at all sorry for hurting his wife or for murdering his mistress. It would only be worth doing that if there was really a threat to the republic from his being found guilty. I didn't see that result.

Well the manaans or whatever they were didnt throw the republic out after the result, as sunry warned, so I feel convicting him is the correct thing.

The judge is familiar with the spying as they and the republic were the cause of it. The murder of the sith spy was not smart, the spy himself caused the republic to be at risk. Getting him off would definitely put the republic at risk because what he knows could be taken from him by the sith.

The best ending to me is just convicting him and killing him. I didnt even look at the other endings because if you are light side why do you want the killer freed? Even his friend ur jedi pal wants him locked up.

The ending I achieved here was to have Sunry found guilty. He did however get a reduced sentence. He was imprisoned for life ( 20 yrs ? ) ...not sentenced to death.

You can't really "win" with this quest. You always lose out in some way. Yes , it's possible to get Sunry off the hook ....but then you lose Light points. Even when Sunry IS convicted his friend Jolee doesn't castigate you.

I think the point of this quest is to show that people can change over time. Which is of course highly relevant in this game

Thank you both. I got him off and then I decided to see what would happen if I said he confessed to me instead of telling about the recording.

LOL. I was forced to go through the trial anyway. So I got him off again. Ican, I actually like your reduced sentence better. Maybe I'll go try for that one. But I didn't get DS points for getting him off.

I think you only get DS points if you can't use normal persuasion (skill too low) to get the witnesses to talk before the trial.

Ican,

I went back and got him life. It doesn't give as many experience points as getting him death by exposing him nor as for getting him off completely. But I like this result best. It was life, not 20 years. But the old guy says the Republic will probably get him out.

Now I have a big announcement to make. After I got the new patch I mapped the mini-game movement to the arrow keys. I beat the turret game!

Just don't ask me why my right index finger is all puffy and swollen Why can't repetitive shock injuries gotten playing computer games be as respectable as tennis elbow? If you injure yourself playing tennis, every one admires you. Injure yourself playing a computer game and people think you are a geek:)
