Is there a decent supply of soul gems out there?

I've come across a fair number of soul gems, empty and full, and if all I wanted to do was to create a few items I'd be just fine. However, this is a skill based game and I'd like to get my enchanting skill up. For that, I figure I'll need to enchant a whole bunch of items. Now I can fill all the soul gems I can find, and I can get all the items I'll ever need to enchant. What I need is a place to buy a decent supply of soul gems. I have heard that cretain vendors have certain items that replenish. Does anyone know a vendor who is that way with soul gems?

I just went to Caldera, and despite the fact that there are several gems sitting on the shelf, no one is selling them. Arrgh. I'm an enchanter, not a thief...

Well there are shops to buy/sell 'em.

Not sure if it was in Tal Branora (?) ...but one of the Telvani (sp?) Wizards Towers had a Merchant...

To answer my own question, in case there are any other legit-playin enchanters out there who need a supply of low level soul gems to practice their skills, the ancestral tombs are a peachy renewable source of soul gems. The undead in their seems to respawn from time to time, and many of them carry empty gems (last night a banelord was kind enough to leave me four of them at once). As a bonus, many of the undead have valuable souls to steal.

They are the number one most common knee biter dungeons... they are everywhere. In fact every third dungeon is an ancestral tomb.

What about grand soulgems?

Anyone know a good supply of greater and grand soulgems? Even if they're not renewable, I really need a few more grand gems to capture souls powerful enough to create constant enchantments. I've stolen two from mage guilds that were empty, and I found the one with a winged twilight in the Balmora mage's guild, but that's it.

As with the Alchemy skill, I find the only good way to increase the Enchantment skill is to buy training.

Not exactly an answer to your question, but you can raise your enchant skill rather easily just by using enchanted items. Make a cheap amulet that heals 1 hp 30 times or so, then use it every chance you get. Your skill will rocket up
