On the original Gothic 2 site from JoWood it stated that the hero was trapped underground for six months and had nothing to live on but bread and water.
The JoWood site has been replaced by the PB site. Look here for the JoWood site.

I have the same problem, a huge file...urgh..takes too long to download.
My PC was a few meters too far from the cable terminal! Didnt wanna move it to another room..

I found it on the Gothic 2 site, but the page is in German and I can;t get the download started.

I download huge files in a local internet caffe (7MB/sec.) then I give the admin a clean CD and tell him to copy the XXX.xx file from komputer X but I didn't see the trailer yet
