Repeatable crash fighting more than 4 or 5 monsters

Every time I try and fight groups of more than 4 or 5 monsters the game crashes

(Basically crashes to windows desktop, program still running for a few secs as a window the height of title bar and width of title text with min/max and exit buttons)

Anyone seen this? Seems to happen with any monster, or at least any monsters that come in large groups

A lot of people have this bug. In most cases it�s a sound problem. You can find at least 10 threads about it.
Change your sound provider, exit and restart Gothic.

Cool. I had assumed it was a obvious problem people had seen before, but I did have a look at this forum and there appeared to be nothing either of the two pages

(shrug)

Ahh well, will change sound card provider
