Moral Dillema in Fighter's Guild |
|
The Fighter's GUild wants me to kill the Half Orc living in town. But I tried to intimidate him/her and he/she become very friendly. So I can't just run this person through with my spark sword, now, can I? So is there a way to provoke an attack? I''ve tried taunting, but even at a friendliness rating of 0 this person won't attack me. |

The way Taunting works IS really irritating. I've found you'll need your faction in the 30-50 range or there's no chance they'll attack even if you succeed. That means Admire or Bribe your way back to 50 if you get below 30 and try again. Or reload a saved game of course. |

If you try to pickpocket he is allways attacking you. All you have to do after his death is to pay a few gold to a guard and reset bounty on your head. |

*comes in and sees a square in moral doubt*
HEY YOU! Are you gonna kill her or WHAT?! Common, get your sword and KILL HER. We aint paying you for goody-goody behaviour.

Seems to me that the Christian thing to do is to return to the guild steward, explain that you can't in good conscience kill a nice half-orc citizen, and move on to a new town with a new steward and some new orders. |

The orc is an outlaw with a bounty on his head, so just chop away. |

--- MINOR SPOILER ---
The Fighter's Guild leader in Ald'ruhn tells you to come to him if you get any 'Odd' sounding orders. I had already killed the orc by this time, so I couldn't see what he would have said about it, but there IS a dialog option with him about that orc, so you might want to check with him before killing |

The Ald'ruhn guy might seem like a goody-goody, but he sends eventually you on bloodbaths just like the others... |

I think "intimidate" is supposed to make them friendlier, at least for the time being. "Taunt" on the other hand will make them attack you if you're successful enough times. It usually takes me lots of saving and loading.
I don't think the Fighter's Guild is the place to be if you are roleplaying a nice person. They're mercenaries and do whatever needs done including killing people for money. |

I felt the same way when I first time I was ordered to kill someone without a seemingly good reason. After speaking to that someone, I realized he was a waste of carbon (pixels? ) and toasted him. On the other hand, I've stopped going back for orders 'cause I've had several moral dilemmas from their orders.
I'm thinking the Legion might be a better fit for me.
Hey, does anyone know the difference between the Legion guild and the Legion cult? _________________ Whenever I feel blue, I start breathing again.

I feel the same way about the fighter's guild - all these quests - go kill these poachers. Go kill these agents. Get the codebook to protect organized crime... It makes me feel like some hired thug, pimping myself out to either big corporations or The Man in general....I never get too far in the fighter's guild. |

So - are you saying I'm in the wrong GUild? I'm actually not sure jusst where I'm headed in this game. Perhaps I should join a mage guild for some more spellpower ( I am a SpellSword). Also, what's all the stuff about joining houses? You mean you can join a guild and a house?
I'm soooo confused.....
But I am getting tired of that Fighter's Guild. |

You can join damn near any house, organization and even some of the bandits like the Ashlanders and be a member in all of them at the same time. For me it only got to be a hastle of managing time for all of them to get anywhere with any of them. |
