He isn't? Gosh, I don't know about that... Having killed quite a lot of humans, just as many orcs, thrice as many critters and six dragons, well, I guess that could be done by any ordinary person just as well...

Yeah, but think about this... How many times did you die trying? I don't think the chosen one of Innos would have been killed by a pack of vicious Molerats!

Still... remember that book that you can purchase from one of the vendors in Khorinis? "The Divine Power of the Stars" I believe. It makes some strong refrences to "the chosen one", although of course doesn't mention any names.

You have a good point. I've been killed by goblins, wolves, molerats, rats etc a lot of times.. you wouldn't exactly see that happen to Rand al'Thor!

he is a chosen of innos

"<Yeah, that's why I think our hero is NOT a "prophecy" character like in most games. It's not like PB. It's more like PB to have a final scene in G3 where Xardas tells you that "you are a nowbody I simply duped into doing my bidding", and then attacks.">
if you are a mage in chapter 5 when you demanda special amulet of Pyrokar
he says that he remembers you and you are the CHOOSEN od Innos and he sensed a special aura when he gave you the leter to give it to the high m. of fire (BACK in g1)That's why he trusted you (the hero I mean)to give you the leter and so on...
It's a little confusing I know that but HE is a chosen of INNOS and Of ADDANOS
Vatras says that Addanos helped you in defeating the dragons at the end of g2

The people of PB are good! They can come up with a storyline that can keep gamers discussing about what it now exacly means for years!
Maybe G3 will give us some answers. (While probably giving even more questions )

fun fact~~!

did you ppl noticed that big stupid orc wall?
in g2 I mean
well you can climb it
you have to go at the far end of the wall where are some fire lizards
you guys and girls will have to walk so you won't fall to your deaths
after you reached the other side you'l find a very funny note from THE MYGHTY ALIEN DWARF and after that go to see another strange thing:
You guys know (in g1) -the cave that when you had to find the focus at the abandoned monastery went down in a little valey with Gorn and killed a couple of snnapers well down there are the bodies of those who lefted the VOM
weird isn't it?
but remember to only do this in chapter 5
if you can't pass the wall use the cheats

Those caves are also in G2, but better hidden this time, but with a little bug or a cheat you can still pass some walls and come into the areas where the dead npc's are put.

[quote="Maylander"]Here are a few "fun facts" about the game from an old
- The holy sword of the paladin is shown in one of the picture of the original Gothic(one of the loading screens where Nameless Hero is about to attack a pack of snappers).

That sword is in gothic1 as well ''heavy two hander'' I think

Gothic 1 & 2 are a bit unlogical sometimes.
Some say you absolutely must be a chosen of innos and some say: "Just take the dmn amulet and kill me some dragons!"

The sword is in G1? Never saw a sword that looked exactly like the concecrated sword in G1, but I'll have a closer look! =)

Yes, very illogical at times. For instance, Pyrokar himself never says anything about "please try on the amulet and see if you are the chosen one to wear".. it's more like "take it, kill the dragons, be gone now".

Very strange indeed. Guess we'll get the answers in G3! =)

It's Driving Me Crazy!!!

because he already knows that you are a chosen of INNOS
who else could defeat the sleeper back then?
and who could find that stupid amulet(eye of innos)rather than the one who was destined to wear it?
who in the name of our God would be a friend to a necromancer_XARDAS_?
who could find those idiotic tears of innos other than our HERO
and if you were a paladin why would innos gave you the power to purge those desecrated shrines?
YOU are A CHOSEN OF INNOS
and ADDANOS himself favors you >at the end of g2 you would ask why did ADDANOS didn't helped you and he says that ADDANOS already did
are you not the one "THE HOLY FOE"as Xardas said in g1 about the orc phrofecy or something like that?
You guys discuss something that would be already clear as a crystal
YOU WILL DEFEAT 6 DRAGONS BY THE END A MORTAL COULDN'T DO THAT
YOU ARE A CHOSEN OF INNOS
or if you didn't get the point already read the script goddamn-it read the f...

I think Beliar is a crock. They say he is tormented by the light. Is he a masochist? All his followers are tossing fireballs or breathing fire. IE Making light. Adanos isn't the sharpest tool in the shed either. Washing Beliar's minions from the face of the earth. Of course you are gonna destroy life on the Earth if you wash it with tides. Duh! Innos is a lie. As stated in another thread he's greedy and promotes murder within his order.

Ummmm........seek professional help at once....it is ONLY a game.

I think the reason you are said to be the "chosen" is because it is a game(which it IS) and the others are totally lazy and not supposed to help you beat the GAME. Sure they seem lazy and don't cooperate.......that is their JOB! IT IS A GAME!

If you do not agree with me, then I will send my minions to wipe you from the earth. It is Innos' will....he told me so because I am the chosen one...so NAH!

There's always a little paradox involved when you talk about "good" and "evil".
For example, I'm a worshipper of Beliar, some mighty necromancer. Followers of Innos say I'm evil and must be defeated. I believe in Beliar and worship him. So for me Beliar is the only, truly god. For me Beliar is good and Innos evil. So for me all the followers of Innos are "evil" instead of "good".
We players always talk about that's it's boring to play the good guys, but instead we always play the bad guys. Couldn't we just for one time play the good guys in a rpg?!

Not only Xardas, Hagen, Pyrokr but also the Watermage mentions the Chosen of Innos wearing the Eye of Innos.
PB would be shifting the story of the game to say anyone can wear the Eye of Innos.

The Gothic community has had its share of decieving post, this leads me to first believe that the post refered to was fake, I would like to see a link, please.
