Well, "Gamers With Jobs" has become one of my fave sites to see, they are sort of a group of "gamer intellectuals" I guess for lack of a better way to put it, that pen columns on gamers' life and what have you, mixed with news and reviews. Some of them are a bit hokey, and Ive found myself rolling my eyes at times at the pseudo-psycho drama talk, but alot of them have turned out to be very good reads, and more importantly, dead-on.

The reaction Ive seen so far from them has been positive, and this latest article kinda sums up what I feel about Oblivion in a way. Yes, there are some issues, and but overall, just quit taking it so damn seriously, and looking at it thru the prism of what you want it to be. The first paragraph is great, and this part kinda sums it up nicely, for me anyway -

"...I’m having far too much fun simply exploring and experiencing the game to try and turn a cynical eye toward it. It’s not that this is a game without faults, but to dwell on those faults would be like complaining that Keira Knightly’s nose is too straight or Jessica Alba’s lingerie was too see-through."

I'm quoting myself to post a correction. I played another 9 hours last night and it is pretty clear that there is a broad mixture of creature levels. For example a mine has plenty of soft goblin fodder interspersed with tougher ones sporting armour and better weapons.

I'm back in the Oblivion camp again. Amazing game
