it was pretty positive except the reveiwer couldnt stand the controls. pretty good elsewhere he said and gave it a total of 75% |

I can't understand why so many reviewers keep slamming the controls. Yes,they took a bit to get used to,but they were not that bad at all. |

I think about that too, I didnt have a problem with controls except when fighting (trying to heal during a fight, forget it).
But then again, 5 minutes into Gothic I was drooling, there was no way I was gonna let a little thing like 'movement' stop me from playing this game. Bah! |

Pah! What other game allows you to sit/lie down/use chairs/walk/run/climb (real climbing!), swim, jump, dive (air-o-batics)/sneak has such a large diversity of skills, game objects and bloody amazing graphics, sorry, but ultima ascension was crass compared to this, I haven't seen any other game come close to this gameplay wise (maybe ultima underworld 1/2) , I wasn't hooked in 5 minutes, more like 5 seconds, I loved it - but if you think about it, if you're having a fight with someone, are they gonna wait for you to open your rucksack to get a healing potion out, let you drink it and then resume bashing you to death?  |
