| Schedule for Paladin Runes |
|
Does anyone know when a Paladin gets the various Runes in NOTR? I got Light when I became a Paladin and I found Holy Arrow on a dead guy in the Vally of the Mines before I became a Paladin (the rune worked anyway) but when do I get the first healing rune? I am in chapter 3 and I wonder it the trigger for the next rune is broken because I found Holy Arrow too soon.

I think you have to get the eye of innos repaired before getting a rune. |

You'll get the Holy Light rune when you become a knight in chapter 3 from Albrecht, I believe you get it for free.
You can learn Holy Arrow and Lower Healing after killing a certain amount of dragons, I'm not sure if you have to kill them all.
You can learn Despel Evil and Medium Evil from Albrecht when you return from the Library with your paladin armor and have read the sea chart to start chapter 5.
Destroy Evil and Large Healing can't be obtained as runes in NotR, only as spell scrolls. Before the addon you would find them, but they have removed them from the game.

I got holy arrow after repairing the eye.

Yes, I received Holy Arrow and Lower Healing from Albrecht without even meeting a dragon, let alone killing one. On a side note, Lower healing really changes the way you play, IMO. You do much less resorting to using potions or herbs in your inventory after a battle. Just hit whatever key you've assigned to healing once or twice and you're good to go. Much simpler... It almost seems like cheating (almost)  |
