Gothic 2: Thieves guild vs Militia? |
|
Once I've joined the militia can I still get into the thieves guild, or at least the sewers? I'm trying to experience as much in the game as possible. So far, I've completed 2 of the quests for entrance to the thieves guild (I haven't ticked off a thief, yet) and I've also become an apprentice for the bow maker in town. Haven't joined the militia yet, but I'm planning on it. But I also want to see the sewers. What's the story? Can I do both? Thanks. |

Membership is non-exclusive, seeing that the Thieves are just a minor guild. So yes, you can be a member of both. _________________ Jaz |

Just betray one of the members of the thieves guild (you can't betray Nagur). _________________ Can't think of anything smart |

Nagur is a thief?
there was always something fishy about that guy but he never wanted to actualy speak to me... in fact, there was no quest connected to him. so how do you know he's a thief? |

You can put in jail Nagur, Rengaru and Halvor and still get accepted into the thieves guild. Once you put them all in jail, the thieves guild sends an assassion after you (Kardif will tell you about him and where he is), quite pathetic assassin at that.. Anyways, you can get the key off of his corpse then and go down to sewers. But, you will have there quite limited choice, once you meet with the boss of the thieve's guild: join them or die. When I played paladin or mage, I usually jailed all the smaller fries, then went down, did not join them and all the thieve's guild members died
As a merc, though, I never jailed them, and also joined the thieve's guild. If you don't jail them, the choice will be more friendly, i.e. you can join or not _________________ Been there, done that . . . |

It's cheaper to play nice with the small fry. Otherwise you get charged to learn anything from the leaders. _________________ Just watch out you don't stress yourself out.
