Whew, I just made Arnika.

Those minions and that sorcerer were way too tough, and also that rhinocerous beast thing too. I just sneaked by them. However, judging by how intense the battle was between the minions and the sorcerer, I can tell that this game only gets more intense and far better. I already know this baby is gonna be a gem.

Quite the gem, indeed.

At this point in the game, the only hope you have with a hogar (the rhino critter) is sneaking and running like a schoolgirl.

Somewhere around level 10, your party will be able to stand up to a hogar if you're really careful. For now, it's Monty Python all the way: "Run away! Run away!"

Yes, as said many time before, this the only really unballanced area of the game.

I usually cast Insanity on him and then hack away while he "babbles and foams"

I think the word "unbalanced" is not quite the word I would use here.

I mean ,Yes you can be in over your head in a fight here, but with a little agility you can avoid the fights. So it's not "do or die" here.

Why must all the enemies be balanced to your party anytime, anywhere, it's just so predictable and even boring i.m.h.o. Instead of you walk careless around the country, knowing that you can kill everything that turns up, because it's "Balanced", you sometimes have to sneak by, and you say to yourself, "I'll be back" when I'm stronger.

And I think the satisfaction in reaching Arnika with an alive team is much bigger with this challenge.

I know it's not what the "casual" gamer want's to hear, but I actually think that it's one of the major issues in this game that makes it fun to play multiple times. It's challenging not "Unbalanced" if I should pick the words.

REALLY careful! I recommend spells like freeze flesh or paralyze (sp???). I found those to be wonderful equalizers against the nasties. Especially the crocs that attack 4 or 5 times in a row doing 10 - 20 pts of damage for each hit that lands. OUCH!

Don't have insanity so don't know how that works out.

Well, just make sure you take a Bishop, Monk, or Psionic on your next trip through....you are planning another party already in your head, right?
