Yes, that should work for you. Anything prior to the final patch (V1.2.4 released 12-23-01) leaves PP as originally programmed. I think the one you've got is the Ascension Peak patch. There was another patch released between the AP patch and the final patch.

Yah, 1b is my fav; it leaves PP and infinite Brekeks, and fixes the Mook hologram and Vi, where 1 only fixed AP. The patch between 1b and 124 fixes Brekek but leaves PP alone, and i don't think anyone has it anymore.

Well, you do need to ascension peak fixed because that prevents u from completing the game.

You could play the whole game unpatched, and then at the end add any patch, if you want to take advantage of pick pocketing...

I didnt, I recomend patching it and making the game as difficult as possible.

PP seems nerfed

I'm soloing as a Fairy, sounds weird! I got my stealth up to 98 and rang the bells. I'm kinda following a guide posted on gamefaqs. this patch nerfs PP I think. It has the Ascensin Peak and Mook fix. Too bad as I have played the latest version enough and would like to PP. Burz caught me alot. Maybe repatch?

I've played 4 times already and will try solo. The guide leaves alot of open space so time will tell. it's not a walkthru, just an idea.

IronMan and expert were challenging and only expert got me most of the way. Soloing and going from Ninja to bishop back to Ninja seems like a plan for now. Darn game keeps calling me back. I fought a crab for 3 hours to get my stealth up, seems nutty but a great distraction! All opinions as always encouraged! Here we go again

That was the one released 12-13-01, IIRC. I deleted my copy a while back- since I never PP in any game, using 1.2.4 is fine for me.
