From all I have read it can be very similar to Gothic but with bigger and more complex world.
If you set 3rd person view, it can really look like Gothic. If you have top PC then better than Gothic. |

Morrowind -vs- Gothic Hmm........
Very similar actually, so far Morrowind feels like a more refined version of Gothic. I like the combat in Morrowind better, it's so hard to tell if your winning that i start freaking---GAH! am i winning or losing!? Do i run or fight!? Accckkk.... (comabt is too easy in Gothic-IMHO)
Saving in Morrowind is ALOT!!!!! better than Gothic.
If i played Morrowind first and THEN Gothic i would lose:
-all the amazing graphic details
-NPC reactions to my reputation and my belongings-(items i have)
-combat choices-(type of swing/etc)
-ALOT of spell choices-(Gothic has more limited spell school choice)
-Character looks/race
-Morrowind has a much better keyboard/mouse layout |

Morrowind is much more complex than Gothic, but It isn't as fun. I can't believe I'm saying this but Morrowind is too non-linear. I don't know what it is but I had way more fun in the first few hours of Gothic than I have had in Morrowind so far. |

Well, apparently, if you WANT to play linear style, it can be done..just skip all of the exploration, and follow the main plot. I don't see why that should be a problem...
I've heard that the main quest is actually quite easy to follow....though I think I would be more apt to explore as I go...I think this will set the standard for non linear games...
So, please explain, why do you feel this game is "too non-linear"??? I don't understand that post... _________________ Member of the "Fantastic ONE"

Morrowind is what you play until Gothic 2 comes out. Meerly a training game for a better one. |
