I saw in a few posts something about AD&D... what doest thah mean (I know that this is Advanced Dungeons&Dragons or something like that). And are there any other systems, how do they work, examples...

Maybe I ask to much...

Anyway... please explain me since I'm new at this RPG 'world'

Lot's of other systems, including the similar D20. Many games create their own system. All have their good and bad points. ADD is the most complex!!

It's the whole "ruleset". How many hitpoints, how long each round is, how much damage each attack does, how the stats work, what the skills are, bla bla bla (different rulesets may or may not have each of these).

For example, Fallout's SPECIAL has no classes, whereas D&D is class-based (along with a zillion other differences).
