Greg's weapon

The first time I played the game I got the Greg's weapon, I tried a little to search what could be its use but didn't found, gave up and let it for a next game.

But during replays I did, I never got it again, so 2 questions:
- How to get this weapon? I remember that someone, probaly Greg, mentionned me that he sold his weapon to a Merchant in Khorinis. Then when you talk with the merchant you get a new dialog option about this weapon, this allow you to buy it.
- What use could have this (crap) weapon?

I could confuse with Alrik weapon, but Idon't think so and anyway his weapon is in the store of the merchant, no dialog there.

Greg's weapon? Do you mean the sword he wields all the time? I belive his weapon is called "the pirate's cutlass". You can get a cutlass quite easily if you rat Canthar to Lord Andre instead of framing poor Sarah .

I think you means alrick's sword not greg's, I don't remeber a quest to retrieve his weapon, he always wore a cutlass

Damit are you saying all that I am crazy??

Ok let say, XXX's weapon even if I am 90% sure it's the weapon of Greg the famous.

So its a weapon : You have a dialog option with a merchant at Khorinis at the market place. This dialog option is a question to ask him if he has buy the Weapon of XXX, then he say you yes and offer you by dialog option to sell it to you for x gold. And still by dialog you can buy it or not.

And if you buy it, he is very happy and say he did a good bargain.

So subsidiary question: Who is XXX?

That wasn't a quest, at least I hadn't found what to do with the weapon.

Gotit,

I'm not saying that you're crazy (at least not yet!), but the only thing like this that I know of has to do with the merchant Jora. After you have recovered the money the thief Nagura stole, and found out from Alrik that he misses his sword, you ask Jora about it. When you ask how much, he'll give it to you for free if you have already recovered his money. Otherwise it'll cost you about 50.

I don't know of anything else like this WRT a person's weapon and one of the merchants (unless you mean the cutlass Sara will give you if you rat out Canthar to the militia).

All that doesn't mean what you say isn't true, just that in several plays of G2 basic and NotR I haven't seen anything else.

Alrik is definitely missing his sword. You can buy it from the merchant Jora with 50 gold or if you'll help him before asking the sword, you can get it for free. Alrik's weapon is worth getting because it will give a nice +10 to your one handed skill. And later on when you want to change your weapon for a better one, just give Alrik his sword back and you'll get some XP.
