City of Villains: NDA Lifted

The 'City of Villains' NDA has been lifted as per an announcement at the official boards:
Hello all --

We have met internal milestones and are pleased to announce today that the City of Villains Non-Disclosure Agreement has officially been lifted. This means that you are free to talk about the game with others (in person, in chats, on message boards, etc) and also to share screenshots. These activities are now allowed.

Keep in mind that our EULA and rules of conduct still apply.

PLEASE NOTE: While the NDA has been lifted, it is important to remember that even though you can now talk about the game anywhere, as a beta tester, it should still be your first priority to play the game and provide feedback on the Beta Message Board.
Thanks to Ereven from Moggers.de.

Same

I have never played City of Heroes but was invited to the City of Villians beta after becoming interested in the game and joining the forums.

The idea of being a superhero seemed unique and different from other MMOs where you start out weak and have to kill alot of rats and collect rat tails for various NPCs.

Well. In City of Villians, you start out weak and have to kill alot of lesser superheores and collect various junk for NPCs. You get xp and "level up" which allows you to get stronger.

It is exactly the same formula as every other MMO out there. So much for unique.

Uninstalled.

Irth Online dwownloading now. Still optimistic...

Yeah you still level up and increase in power....if that's enough to make you say it's just like every game that you certainly won't consider it unique (and you will probably say Diablo and Fallout are the same games too). But the actual game play does have a very different feel then other games.

The original could have been huge, it really was kind of innovative. Sadly it was just kind of lacking in content. I left with the intention of checking it out again once the expansion came out and the game was more refined. But I've been playing WoW since then and doubt I will go back to CoH. Still curious to hear more about the expansion though.
