Wow, talk about a blast from the past. GameBanshee has launched a Fallout Tactics subsite with item database, walkthroughs and so on.

Why would they do this? The game sucked and was an embarrassment to the Fallout series.

Wasn't that bad in my opinion, but wasn't great either.

Fo:t

The people who "hate" FO:T were all looking tfor FO3 which FO:T never pretended to be. It is a fine tactical combat game.

Agreed. Fallout Tactics received unduly negative fan response. Personally, I really liked the engine (squad combat, vehicles) and increased resolution. Certain mythos choices may have been ill-considered, but it was still a highly enjoyable entry in both post-apocalyptic and tactics genres.

Really? I thought it was way too easy it TB mode, and way too stupid in RT. Pretty much the same problem arcanums combat had, but didn't have the great everything else Arcanum had.

I think people would have been much more open to it had it been a quality TB tactical game. As it was FO fans detested it because it butchered the back story and setting and TB tactical gamers laughed at it because it was a joke compared to tactical games many, many years older than it.
