Are you in position to tell us something about upcoming G2?
Like are any suggestions of this forum's users going to be taken seriously?
Or can any of us become beta-testers?
Personally I'd be glad to help you splash some bugs.

Any suggestion from GOTHIC fans and criticers - as long as it is realistc - is taken seriously!!!
At the moment it's not decided if we make an open BETA test...the mother company Phenomedia has build up a permanent QA, 6 peple at hte moment and our publisher JoWooD has also a QA...but as I said, the decision has not be made.
If we make an open BETA test, you guys and the guys from World of GOTHIC and GOTHIC gOMP are the first to know and the first to ask!

Nice picture, and I am glad that there are developers that we can talk to.

That's a secret. One which even I do not know, but last I saw some halfhighs were in a bar with it, BUT my incompetent Nazgul failed to retrieve it.

I personally can't wait for Gothic 2 to be released. The original Gothic was probably one of the best games I've played in the last couple of years, and proves that RPGs and 3d can be compatible.

Well TomTom,I will make a question for you.
Why did you cut some things in the english version of Gothic(you know, the fights in the arena and other stuff)?

Hi Krycek,

Sorry, but you have to wait until monday...
I by myself wasn't involved in the english version and I didn't play the english version either so far... actually I can't say how the english GOTHIC differs from the German original...have to ask some of our guys on monday, k?

I didn't play through the German version, but I got the impression from reading the scripts that a lot of things were left out of both versions. I don't think we were especially short-changed - we lost a concert and gained a bikini.

Hey TomTom! While we're asking questions, do we know how easy it will be to produce mods for Gothic 2? And have you played VisiGothic?

Seeya.

A.

Actually I didn't play VisiGoth yet, but I will do when I'm back from the USA the week after next week...
I had a chat with Mike this week about Mods for GOTHIC II...we're on track but let us finish the game first, ok?

While on the topic of mods...will you translate the docs to English this time?
I'm sure there are creative people in the English scene too that never got a chance since the docs were in German.
It's nice to have someone in the know here...PB has been a bit of a mystery.(to us outside Germany at least, dunno how it's been there)
