I've found that I crash ALOT in the old mine on the way to kill the queen. When I open the gate, I have to face the wall otherwise i'll crash everytime. Once the crawlers are all dead, I can then go inside. I have also crashed a few times deeper inside the cave when fighting 2 crawlers at once. I am on a p3 850 w/256mb and a gforce3 on w2000.

I managed to get through it by going to 640x480 w/40% draw distance and min textures and models.

Anyone else get this problem?

Update: I am noticing now that whenever there are many monsters of screen at once i'll crash. Even in 800x600x16 w/the above configuration.

In the error message during the crash, is there a reference to 'mss32.exe' or similar?

Oddly enough I went hunting the general boards and found the answer to my problem. Seems its a sound card issue. Thanks
