PB German,JoWood (German aren't they?) so I don't fear much of cancellation as far as Gothic 2 goes.

Jaz wrote more or less my thoughts in her former post...G 2 should be quite a different game since you're not stuck in a jail.
I wouldn't mind running into some bloke who has some female slave or something though...I loved kicking slavers around in Fallout 2... (not to mention she'd be in gratitude and owe me something...  )

Are you kidding me? This guy doesn't have a girlfriend. Geezus. It's rare that you find a female who plays games (And even more rare that you find a woman who can tolerate a man who plays games) but when you do, using my wife as an example, they tend to be very very open to things.
When I was in college, in my networking class, half the class was made up of women (And my fiance didn't like that) and nearly ALL of them were gamers. I would look over my shoulder and see them playing such "guy favorites" as Quake 2, Duke Nukem, and Tomb raider...two of which are well-known for their sexist images. (TR and DN)
Heck, I met Patty through playing Daggerfall, and we BOTH got kicks out of seeing the naked women in the town's tavern every now and then. I highly doubt this Vixenrose is a woman, much less an attractive one. If it is a woman, she's more then likely Bigfoot's Ex Wife.

I saw this thread and thought it was a joke or something. Someone actually was offended by this? Its completely and TOTALLY made up! The people and characters are fictious, they never existed, and yet someone is reacting as if it was happening in there backyard or something. Hell, my sister played Gothic and the only reason she didnt like it was cause she got killed all the time cause she'd run around with her sword out. Fallout and Fallout 2 are some of her favorite games, and women certainly arent treated well in those games, so I really dont see what the hell the big deal is. And I agree with Carnal, Im not the skinniest person around, and I really couldnt give a rats ass if they killed fat people or not, hell Ill laugh at a fat joke same as other people. The trick is to let it slide and not react. If you react to stuff, people are just going to do it more often simply cause it pisses you off. |
