When I log in the main index forums are all marked as read... but going to individual forums shows unread messages since last visit.

Same here ... with *some* exceptions. I can't figure out why some show as having new messges and others don't.

The forum software just wants to make sure you're alert and awake. That, or it's taking a coffee break.

The only one that shows as an unread forum for me is the news forums which is updated by some sort of script, if I'm not mistaken.

Co-incidence? Perhaps... but I've been working with computers for nearly 12 years. Rarely is anything with any sort of correlation a co-incidence with the infernal machines.

Do I detect a whiff of animosity? Just a trace, the faintest aroma of disdain?

Good thinking Xen, I hadn't noticed the correlation.

I am a computer technician. Any love for working on them has long since turned to loathing. My hatred of working on them is matched (exceded) only by my dependance upon them breaking to provide for myself and my loved ones.

I get the "phpBB : Critical Error

Could not query config information"
error all the time now, it's extremely annoying. Is there anything that can be done?

It's probably due to the server slowing down, which may be connected to the massive amount of Texas Holdem spam that the comments forums were hit with earlier today. *sigh* Back to taking out the garbage.

No, I think that Myrthos and I got it all. If you find some that we missed, then let me know.
