Hm, I can answer your second question only -the shadow Fisk on the marketplace sells weapons. There's another trader in the castle, Skip, but you can't get to him (legally) at this stage of the game.

For most of your questions - just play the game! Jeez - why bother if you want all the answers given to you???
Slow play is likely due to your low end video card and low amount of RAM in your machine. You can attempt to optimize by going into the setup and lowering all the game play options (video resolution, range of vision, etc.).

Yes, but you will not see many nice effects and visual elements. Before that try to optimaze your windows (you will surely find many www pages about that). You should stop all background programs and make some changes in windows default configuration. Then if it will not help, lower all options. |

I donīt quite remember your system specs. What did you say are your cpu, graphics card and RAM?
With that info we can tell you if it will ever run faster. |

On most PCs you can buy more RAM very cheap, without having to do any major upgrades. Just follow the instructions in the packaging to install it.

Sorry to disappoint you. Gothic will never run smooth on this machine. The graphics card is completely outdated and 128MB RAM is not enough.
Experiment with the different resolutions and graphics settings until you find an acceptiable combination.
My pc is continuously evolving. Most parts are 1 year old. TB850, 512MB, Voodoo 5500.
