JoWood + SATA Raid = Bad

I posted this a few months back but none of the responses helped. I am hoping that since that time someone else had come up with a solution.

After installing a SATA raid setup in my machine, no JoWood games install anymore. They all have copy protection issues that I cant find how to work around.

I have tried the install with both internal and external drives, and nothing works. I just get messages saying that the original CD cannot be found, without an option to even retry.

Please please please can someone help, I havent been able to play Gothic 2 for months and its very depressing.

I also heard that JoWood have the publishing rights again for G3, so this makes me extra happy knowing that I wont even be able to play it.

@ JoWood: Copy protection NEVER stops piracy, it just pisses off your legitimate customers. Sort your shit out.

@ Gorath: I dont know if it was you (It was the same user name) but in the JoWood forums, you mentioned there was a thread that explained how to bypass the installer. I searched but couldnt find it. Do you have a link?, do you even think that might help?

I see there has been no more insights since then...

Well it looks like the only way I can play the game that I paid money for is to go download a pirate version. Great going JoWood, your retarded Copy Protection has driven yet another legitimate customer into the underworld of piracy.

What did the JoWooD support say? They have a special forum account for CP problems. It´s called "CP-Support" or similar. Should be easy to find out.

I could not find anything helpful in the JoWood forums about the copy protection issues.

I also could not find any forum named "CP-Support" or similar.

I will post a message later in the G2 general support area, but I am 99.9% certain that they wont be able to resolve the issue. In my 15+yrs of using computers I have never had a tech support service be able to fix something that I couldnt.

Forum account, not forum. If you need more than 1 minute to find him your searching skills suck.

Maybe you should send him a short PM to make him aware of your thread. He can answer Tuesday at earliest. The first thing he´ll say - if he answers- is: "Please attach a zipped DXDiag and MSConfig."

I also doubt he´ll be able to help, though.
