3DO: Bankruptcy FAQ @ Celestial Heavens

Celestial Heavens has put together a small FAQ revolving around 3DO's bankruptcy with questions like "What's going to happen to HoMM V?" and "Can we still get support from 3DO?" etc.

I notice that nobody ever even mentions the Might and Magic RPGs. Evidently, that classic series is doomed to have MM9 forever stain the memory of a great franchise. Truly sad.

Two things.

It seems New World computings new office is about 30 miles from me now. Maybe I could go check them out.

The other thing, is that mm9 was much better than homm4 in my opinion, homm4 was just terrible.

Well New World Computing is not all of 3do they made some other bad games such as army men and what not.

A company that makes bad products usually goes under. This company made a lot of bad products so I would hope it died off personally, and maybe a different publisher is just what is needed for another might and magic or homm game.

I certainly wouldnt want to see another homm4 or mm9 what would be the point of that?

If for some reason a totally non functional game, and two expansions for it no less made from the map editor didnt make them all rich Im happy personally.

The company admitted there was no plan for a sequel. With the poor sales and reviews of MM9, it isn't likely to change soon. New World will probably want to focus on its main franchise before attempting a come back to RPGs.

I have been waiting for the day that 3DO went bust for many a year after they totally screwed my favorite game.

Good riddance 3DO. See ya, wouldnt wanna be ya.

Now all I have to hope and pray that someone decent picks up NWC and gives them the backing and funding to make games like they used to.
