It seems to me that the help routine just gives access to the commands that are listed in the manual on page 171. Unless I'm missing something, none of those applies to teleportation.

dte, try this: http://nwn.bioware.com/dms/commands.html

Perhaps the command dm_movetoarea is what you seek. Don't mind Val, all this talk of killer cows from hell is starting to affect her.

edit: although I believe there are easier ways to accomplish that.

When did your name become Myrthos? Only he's supposed to spoil fun!

EDIT: There are. The player has to enter this command. Not the host.

Come on, the guy was desperate for info. He offered you two fine daggers, even knowing you'd take them and use them to torture him.

I preferred the torture I was already employing.

Well, I didn't tell him everything. He'll still need to figure out the area tags.

Okay, time for some feed back on mods I completed on my last field trip:

Twilight - I loved the ending. I was really disappointed that the follow up is not out of beta yet! Parts were a bit boring, but I liked the interaction with the squire, the world, and the special paladin powers. I give this an 8.5 out of ten.

Birthright of the North - This was awesome. Very proffessional (not like my spelling *grin*). My only complaint was with the end ... it was not clear that you could not track down the missing artifact. I finally got the hint that it was not going to happen, and so ended the game as a L11 cleric and had a blast. WARNING - if you try playing it, there are a lot of really tough chests to disarm in Orchold. Second warning ... stock up on low level magic items you want upgraded before going to the island!! I give this a 9 of 10, the only reason it missed a 10 of 10 is the handling of the main quest if you stray too far from the assumed order - I cleared out the Orchold (what I could) before meeting Silverhand, and this led to some interesting conversation glitches.

Hey Lintra,

Agree with you 100% on Birthright of the North. It's SOOO GOOD. But it's also SOOO under-rated! It should be a *LOT* more popular than it is right now. 75% of the mods which are rated higher than it are CRAP compared to BotN. The person who wrote it should be making money creating real RPGs or writing fantasy novels as far as I'm concerned...

As for Twilight, I disagree slightly. I loved that almost as much as BotN - for different reasons. It's probably the best *linear* RPG I've ever played. And the guy who made the game is a real demigod of scripting; when you play it, it doesn't feel like the same game as the NWN OC. So I'd give this a 9.0 or 9.5 instead of 8.5.

Hey Val,

I just noticed that the mod you were slugging through was An Ancient Heart. What did you think of it? I got about halfway done before I joined a mod project as a beta tester and had to stop. I think the author (of AAH) was very ambitious with it - perhaps too ambitious. I sensed a noticeable "lack of polish" in many of the game's elements. As well, the dialog seemed a bit... *off*.. and a number of the sidequests seemed a bit, well, contrived. Right now I'd say its worth a 7.0 but I'm guessing I'd raise it to 7.5 once I get around to actually completing it.

(Note: I feel BotN is better than AAH, but also of a similar style; i.e. it supports multiplayer and is non-linear. I suggest you give it a try. Don't think it takes place in the Forgotten Realms though.)

I've liked it so far. It's kept my multiplayer group entertained for awhile. It's better when you play in a group. You get running commentary on everything. Besides, it's worth it just for the opportunity to beat up Drizzt.

Yeah, the drizzt bit was handled pretty well. and if you read those particular FR novels, the story probably seems a bit familiar. (icewind dale trilogy, i think)
