You know, I've found jumping from high places in Gothic (preferably with the cheat mode on to avoid death) is really quite strange! Hehehehe... I get that same dizzy-like/pit of my stomach feeling similar to a real fall!

Xanas's tower is one of my favorite places to jump from! Cheap rush! It's also kind of funny watching my character "turf" out!

You don't need god mode to fall from high places. Just hold a strafe key.

Yeah!
I like skydivin too!!
I did it in nearly all high places in the Gothic world.
I smoked before the jump a lot of weed, than drunk this speed elixier and.... wow!

I love this game!

Speaking of which, was there an exit from Xardos's tower? I didn't see one, and always jumped out.

no, there is no exit. you can either try to jump off into the pool of mud u see at the bottom, or teleport to water magers or the sect camp.

So the mud is deep enough to break your fall then.

I love movie/game physics that act as if falling into water from a great height hurts less than falling onto ground.

Or you could climp up onto the tower, walk out onto a spike, and jump to the nearest cliff, dont get hurt at all and is quite easy.

two things:
Here a nice fall for you: Jump from the top of the Old Mine straight down the center, hehe, now THATS fun. And because you're inside the dungeon, everyone is smoother

Also best way out of Xardas is jumping into the green water outside his tower, works everytime for me (may not work without acrobatics)

to leave xardas tower you can also use the bloodfly spell, which btw. also is the fastest and safest way to travel (ecxept teleport).

I love to travel as a bloodfly. Once you've cleared the wild areas of big nasties, there's no point in hoofing it from place to place.

Hold down F8 a few seconds, you will be at the top of the world.
Let go of F8 and you will fall miles, bouncing off mountains trees etc..
