Game won't start: I get an error message

This is really annoying. I was playing Gothic last night and was just fighting the troll to get one of the focus stones when the game crashed. I figured it was just a normal fault and decided to take up the fight in the morning. However, this morning when I cam to play, I got the following message: X: XD3D_InitPerDX: Can't create D3DX content ! Error: DDERR_INVALIDPIXELFORMAT.
This is really frustrating since it was working fine last night.

Please help!

Open your [GOTHIC]/System/Gothic.INI and set the following values to:

[VIDEO]
zVidResFullscreenX=800
zVidResFullscreenY=600
zVidResFullscreenBPP=32

You may play around with the values for the resolution.
The problem seems to be that (on some machine with some Detonator) you cannot start with 16 bit color depth...
Later you can try to change the resolution in the game menu.
