If you realy talked to Lord Hagen, your in chapter 2. It should be quite clear for your log (press L) what to do next.
In general: youll have to convince him that the orc/dragon thing is serious bussiness. This will eventualy take you to the vally of mines/the formal penal colony.

You better post this kind of question at the gothic boards instead of under 'game comments'

I like the game a lot. Already finished it twice, first as Paladin and after that as Magician. Now I'm looking forward to the third and last way.
The whole world is simply incredible, including all the non-player characters. Certainly one of the best games I've every played

Greetz,
Damien

I have already finished Gothic 2 and i must admit that i didn't have as much fun when plaing other Rpg's as i had duriing my adventure with Gothic 2 . The story is great, quest's are great as well but i question that 512 Mb needed to play the game on full detail's.

10 out of 10 point for me

Gothic 2 IS the best game ever. I haven't got the chance to get through it yet, 'cause my computer fuck the game always. Right now I'm waiting to get the game back (hopefully tomorrow) But I gotta say again, this is the best game I've ever played and I'm really looking forward to the english addon and Gothic 3

When I first got my hands on Gothic1 the game had no speech and no movies. After playing it like that for 6 months I managed to find a full version of this masterpiece. And plaied it all over again and again.......and
again just because of the speech and movies.
I don't want to get started on Gothic 2(I could write about for hours)
I think I learned the dialogues by heart LOL
And if you get entangled in the plot there is no feeling of linear story.
I think that those that see the story of Gothic1 and 2 as linear from ane point of the game are a bit afraid to go "deeper" into what Gothic has to offer.
PS: THE KING IS DEAD! LONG LIVE THE KING!!
(anticipating the end of Gothic 3 )

I saw the DVD box a Fry's this weekend for $50, but didn't buy it. I am waiting for the US version to be released. I am willing to pay $40, and I want to know what is different about the US version that is taking months to release.

EDIT: I don't know why this posted here

It's a couple weeks until the supposed US release of G2, but there has been no official announcement(that I'm aware of) and the Atari G2 web site has no new info. What gives?

Yes!! I just installed and played for about 30 minutes. The graphics blew me away right from the start. So much better on my pc then G1 was. My only problem was I forgot how to fight. Once I get the controls down again, I'm afraid my family will be off the computer again until I finish. (They hated G1 because of that. )

Compared to Gothic 1, Gothic 2 is nothing special.
Gothic 1 brought RPG games something new...it's the game that got me addicted to RPG gaming...
Whereas G2 was... well... just a sequel...

You're right! But the only better thing in Gothic 2 is that every guild that you join has different misions.
