What's an Atronarch to do?

I am a Breton Atronarch Mage who has recently been released from bondage, and started exploring my new surroundings. I found my first small adventure in a cave near town, and have bested 3 foul rogues with my Magick.

But now, I'm pretty much spent, and due to the curse of my birthsign, I know I can not regenerate magicka on my own. I have heard that some temples can channel holy energies into a mage - but there are no temples in this small port town.

So what's an Atronarch to do?

I see a few options:
1) I could ride the silt strider to Balmora, which should have temples.
2) Perhaps I can learn to brew potions that will restore my magicka, or purchase some item that will help me regenerate it.

Any advice my fellow travellers? Just looking for a finger pointed in the right direction, no specific spoiler-type information please.

thanks
Fallanor the Mage

Make a new char .

Atronarch is not a good sing for a mage.

Its only good for a battle mage that fights then gets hurt with spells

a) 50 % less often

b) 50 % replenishes magicka for restoration or other purposes.

I don't think he should make a new character. Unless he is the type to only make the perfect statistical ones. I say learn to make some potions. Sounda fun to me.

If you got the standart breton mage class your Alchemy starts with 25 and its a minor skill.

Hmm . I think that with a skill of 25 you will have very low sucess rate in making potions.

Also i think that withe the 50 % magick resistance that breton race has when you absorve magicka you will absorve only 50 % of the magicka that other races absorve.

I think Mikey just has to get some sleep to regenerate his magic

Same thing

I had the exact same problem....Eventhough I had played for about 3 hours as the Breton Mage, I started over with the Apprentice....much better and easier, you can rest and regenerate your magika almost all of the time

the Atronach sign is one that pays off later in the game. At the beginning of the game, there's not a lot of people chucking spells at you. As you get further, though, you'll get a lot more spells thrown at you which means more Magicka.
Also, having a good Alchemy Skill to brew up some potions couldn't hurt either.

Pesky, Atronachs don't regenerate Magika period, sleeping does nothing.

Hmmm... this MIGHT work...

I know that the most very basic conjured pets (ancestral ghosts) can cast minor magics. And if you summon a pet and attack it, it will attack you back. So if you save enough magicka to summon a pet and then let it beat on you/cast on you, you may have some luck regenerating magicka that way. But it's a painful way to go, to be sure.
