Hey guys... playing one of my old IE titles which I never got around to finishing. Anyways I've totally forgotten the interface, my first hour with this was so weird! One thing I still can't figure out is how to change party order. I foolishly put my wizard in the 3rd "slot" so she's always near the party's front. Help! I want to move her to the last "slot". Thanks...
(I tried "character arbitration"... couldn't figure that screen out!) |

In the original games (Baldur's Gate I or Icewind Dale I), it would always put them back in the original order after loading a game if you clicked and dragged to change the party order (I don't know if it does the same in IWD2). So if it does happen, you'll need to export the characters you want switched, go to the character arbitration and delete the characters being switched and then import them in the right order. However (it happened in the originals with me) it might not put them in the order you import them and just put them in the back, so you might have to export and import the entire party.
I don't remember if the same thing happened in Icewind Dale II, but I mentioned them just incase. So you might be able to just ignore me (for now... ).
As for the character arbitration screen, from what I remember, before you can modify the characters, you have to click on a 'modify characters' button, which I believe is towards the bottom of the screen. Then click on the character's name you wish to change and it brings up the option to delete the character (and some other things I can't remember). Just remember to export your characters through the character records page before you delete them! |

<bangs head on desk>
it was click & drag...
I think it's ok now. This uses the BG2 engine so the problems that IWD1 and BG1 had are not in this one (apparently).
But... hard to believe this game came out in 2002. At the risk of insulting the BIS fan-contingent, the graphics are so icky! At least I can run it at 1024 and bump all the graphics settings up to maximum...
BTW anyone want to recommend a good AI frame rate number for a good speed which doesn't make it appear like everyone's Perma-hasted? Using a computer which is triple the minimum specs of course... |
