ok, I have noticed that many a person has a list naming what clans/cults/or guilds they belong to, I wanna know something... why do we do that? is it a way of showing off, or am I wandering into a dead zone (cool show!  )? so, are we showing off, doing something else, or is The Fang rambling on about something with no substance?

It is just to let people show to what groups you belong.
The are real groups. Look at the groups at the top of the page to find them. There are many of them and all do something different.

One possible reason: every group has some rules and possibly also goals. Maybe they want to show that they respect them. |

Agreed
Now, I myself belong to a few of those guilds. My answer is that it is mostly to be included in a community of like-minded people who share common interests. It's just as simple as that. And yes, I like to show them off because I am proud to be a member of each and every one of those guilds.

Actually no... this thread was originally started in the General CRPG board, so that's why I saw it. Now I erm... just saw a few friends post here and decided to take a look again. But I'm out as soon as I'm finished with this!!
