Is it possible to speed up Saving/Loading time? Especially loading, it is SO SLOW on my PC. Reminds me about Fallout 2 before the final patch. It takes about 30-50 seconds to load the saved game.
P.S. Already defragmented my HDD. |

yeah, it does take forever. Also, for the game to first turn on it does the same. |

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing but discovered it's not the game but more likely your system. I have a P3 450 with 384mb of pc100 and it is pretty slow at loading and saving. But I installed and ran it at my friends house who is running a P3 1.0 ghz with 256mb ram pc133. It takes less than half the time to load and save. |

It also depends on where (in the game)
you save or load...
Loading in the "main land" takes
much longer than when you load in a smaller
"seperate area" (mines, caves)
I find that I dont die much in the main land,
but once I get into the seperate areas (orc crypt, mincrawlers)the tight spaces and ambushes cook me. So I have to save and load alot...
If the load times in these deadly places were as bad as the main land, I might not
be able to put up with the game.
Fortunately, it all works out, and Gothic still rules.
