I figured out how to get into the castle, wich i think is supposed to be "out of bounds" in the demo, its actually really simple, and i realized how to do it after trying to kill a digger,

you simply pull out your sword, run through the castle gates, and they just yell at you to put your weapon away!, then you do the same to get into the ore barons house, go to your left, and help yourself to some better swords (and some not) =)
just dont try to talk to the ore barron or he will kill you
