Embarassing Newbee Question
   

Man, I haven't even made it through the tutorial yet! I have the rope. I am in the room with the broken elavator. What exactly am I supposed to do. I went over to the lever, double clicked on the rope in my inventory, then I tried clicking on the lever once, and nothing happens. When I double click on the item it creates a circle and when I hover it over the lever it is like a filled in circle. But once I left click, it disappears and nothing happens. Please advise. Thanks.

don't use the rope with the lever...try looking around on the nearby walls...
