Paladin wouldnt suite gladiator matches lol i mean Paladin are very well trained "Holy" warriors wich are more then capable of fighting in the ring but dont forget Gladiators are scum and looked down upon so can you picture a paladin fighting in there? but im sure it doesnt matter in Gothic 3.
on that fan page it said a list of classes to choose i dont know if they are made up or what but it says (im listing all the melee types) , Paladin , Soldier , Bandit , Pirate.
I can picture pirate and bandits being in the ring because they will be scum to most people.
Cant wait to get into the ring
if those classes are Real i'll probably be a Soldier. |

Those classes are from Gothic 2.
Soldier -> Paladin
Bandit and Pirate are add-on "guilds" that you become apart of no matter what(if you do the add-on story).
Maybe we'll see them in G3 as well, but I haven't read anything about that. |

To become one, you have to sign on with Lee as a Mercenary. After that, when you free Bennet from prison in chapter 3, you will recieve a Dragon Hunters' armor when you meet him back at the farm.
A Dragon Hunter is a pure fighter type. He has bow/crossbow for range, and all normal weapons for melee. He also gets the best weapons in the game(can forge through special recipe only he gets). After the add-on there are a few weapons better than the ones the Dragon Hunter can make, but not many.
All in all, I'd still say the Paladin is the best overall class(yes, even better than a mage, despite a mage being more powerful at the end). The reason is very simple - the Paladin special holy magic is incredibly powerful and that, combined with the Paladin being as good as a Dragon Hunter in melee, makes him the easiest class to play.
One of the cool things by being a Mercenary/Dragon Hunter is that you learn a bit more about Lee and his story/plans for the future, just like a Magician will learn more about the old Brotherhood(now the Seekers), and why they have become servants of evil. The Paladin doesn't really get any special story elements as far as I know(or rather remember). |
