I am planning to become Pala, at what point should I stop putting points into str (now 75) and weap mastery (1h 70) and start investing into mana?
I am in chap 2 militia lvl 18.

Mana is a good thing, that's true, but recognized that you don't need an arsenal of it, because: I created a character, paladin class, and i leveled it up to the clvl of 30, I had 60% 2h, 30%1h, 50bow, 30xbow, around 75-80str, 80dex, lockpick yes, picklock yes sneak yes, and some animal skin-taking and i had only 60 mana. The ultimate paladin spell uses 15 of mana so I could cast it four times until it depleted my mana pool.
And: I realized that four casts of that spell were ENOUGH! THINK: when do you ecouter more than five orcs together?????.....only if you want!!!!So I decided to NOT invest anymore points because it seemed useless.
...my opinion, though.

The Holy Executioner (Paladin's Blessed Ore Weapon) is an 2h weapon does 100!! dmg and only needs 50 STR so you'r STR is good.
The Innos'Wrath (Paladin's Blessed Ore Weapon) is an 1h weapon and does 85 DMG and you only need 40 STR so ....

Hmm, what is that ultimate paladin's spell ? and does it has req for mana? Does it really kill orc in one hit?
I am planning to create something like pure paladin. He will use 1h weapon (I like speed and graphics of styles) and some magic. I have no idea what runes can pala use as I am just in chap 2.
I have minimum skill in mana and in dex (was it 20 or so).
Is dex needed to wear a bow or x-bow only? You don't run faster or jump higher, right? My actual str now is 90 with items. I plan to max it for max damage.
Can you pls describe what are the best spells for pala and how much mana will I need? Is it really 60 or so?

If I could suggest you, try maximize your 1H mastery (90% by Cedric + 5% book from Lutero) . With 100% mastery you will have 100% chance to do critical strike (dmg = dmg_weapon + strenght) and also maximize you strenght (100 + use str. potions to increase it above 100).
Dex is very important attribute for pickpoketing, lockpicking and using bows/xbows. IMHO it is better to invest LP into dex than into mana.
You could increase mana with potions (essence of spirit? ) or eat 50 dark mushrooms = +10 mana (only once, I think). |
