Alright.. now i am really starting to believe there is more to this game than meets the eye,especially to the fog tower. i was just playing again a moment ago and i was in the fog tower,for the first time in my current game, i entered through the door at the top. and went down the stairs,killed a few skeletons on the way down,and when i got to that room with the first chest in it if you go down like this, it got too dark and i used the light spell, then i opened the chest , after emptying its contents i got up again and when the camera position shifted, i suddenly saw a pinkish light right next to me,but it very quicky dissapeared into the wall next to the chest,long before i could get a screenshot.. this may just be a graphic anomaly.. i dont know,but the light spell did not expire at that moment,and i also used it before in the old mine down in the minecrawler's nest,and nothing like this appeared.. i dont know what it was , i took a screenshot of the exact location where the light dissapeared into the wall after it did,unfortunately i dont know where to upload it to, i dont have my own website,never needed one and never bothered to learn these things,so if anyone could give me some useful advice on that i'd be greatful,after finding a place tp up it to, i can show the exact location.. and perhaps did anyone else see something like this before as well?

You can post it here in the boards. There are some "easy" html tag buttons above the writing windows and below the subject line.

Let's see it

@Garanixx,

First you must regester with an url or webserver then upload your pic/s to there, then copy the pic address and paste it here in your post.

There are many free type servers, but beware, some are not very good, some go offline, some say "free" when they are not, try a web serch for free server comparisons and read users comments, some have more storage space than others.

Good luck.

*sighs* just as i feared, thanks for the advice but, as i continued with the game and went into the orc cemetary, i was using light again and at times it left the same pinkish light, its strange since i dont recall it doing this before.. but it seems it was nothing but a graphical anomaly after all, sorry for the mixup,i really thought i had something there *baps his gfx card*

Hmm Just an idea - this is probably the point where my complete lack of knowledge of all things Gothic ruins my suggestion

Personally I'd love this to be true as I love Easter Eggs/ Hidden things in games - hell I may even buy Gothic 2 if this turns out to be true

(Although, my idea may work if the game registers the date on which the current game was begun hence if you play from old saves it will never work and you'd need to alter the clock and start again but obviously this is all blind speculation )

@Kendrick,

No, it must not be dismissed, the smallest iota of a possibility must be left "open" until known to be irrelevent.

@Jaan,

This point about the path also must not be dismissed, of course each faction will say that theirs is the right path? - - it's for you (pc-hero) to choose.
the clues are there in the "books" - - have all the books with you when entering the fog tower.

I personally think this is some marketing gimmick by PB to make me buy this game and it's working as I'm way too curious about this whole Chromanin issue - and I don't even know what it is (sound like a magic rock to me). I just know that if I see Gothic for sale anywhere over the next week I'll buy it.

Hey guys, damn I haven't been to this site in months. Sorry Wulf but I started playing some otehr gaems and gradually forgot about Gothic, Splinter cell 2, America Army Operations, Halo (PC) and my friend got me back in Diablo 2 which is real addicting. I just did the Chromanin thing again but this time I didn't find a courpse, it's real weird. I was all excited that there was no corpse but I dont know what the hell to do now!?!?! Wow, wolverine is offering a prize sweet!!! I can always use another Aleinware

Hey there Killerofevils II,

Nice of you to drop by, Your a true gamer, always trying different games is the way of the experienced.

What ever you do, make a "permanent" save of that "no-corpse" game, even make a "floppy" save so it wont get lost.
Now what are you going to do next? my suggestion, go along every inch of the "maze of twisty passages" and you "WILL" know when you find a small opening in the cave wall, it will always then "be there" it will not close-up, you can enter, either through the passages (fog tower door or sea entrance) or you will be able to use the "then rendered" scenario (wooden steps) the quest may be, if i can remember, to locate and open a chest (previously) unseen, (not rendered) and there is much magics effects in that place, at this moment i will not say where. You are now in command of things as from now on.

May i wish you the best of luck, and it is your decision how you will handle this thread if you should succeed.

So, now I have to crawl around and look for that passage? Damn that might be a while. Wulf, I don't know if i find it I'd probably not be able to make any good clues or anything. I've just leave it up to wolverine_men, I'll probably end up playing another game soon anyways ha

All's ticking over just as nomal, just the ocasional blip on the old mass-spectrometer, then back to zero, nothing new, i think i am giving it a rest.
That last piece of info' from me was new, i've realised, that i must have done the hidden quest because i have had a vague recall of something i only saw the "once" never seen it since. I know what the quest was (roughly) and where it was.

There is as much information on this thread as anyone will find on this topic, it may be that no-one will ever complete it, it is well hidden in the depths of the game code, i salute the game writers for inserting this excellent mystery.

Well now curious,

If you take a look at the members list for these forums you will see many other similar likenesses/coincidences.

@wolverine_men.

I still have many saved games on the hard-drives and occasionally "have a go" - - by the way, i can't speak German, is that another small clue ?
