This is not good!
Poor Yog, I think he is still smashing his head against that tree. _________________ There once was a youngster, DzD

BRAZIL 4 – China 0
Carlos (13), Rivaldo (31), Ronaldinho (p) (44), Ronaldo (54)
Brazil recorded the second largest victory of the tournament. China fought hard but was simply no match for the Brazilians. Even though China and Turkey might no be considered big teams, Brazil looks capable of going all the way. So far one of the only teams with a perfect record. |

Grrrrr, my TV had lost signals for almost the whole game except the last 5 minutes so I missed all the goals scoring.
@DzD, I can't imagine what Yog would do. Should we make a poll on how many bones he would break?
Edit:
Italy was disallowed with two goals - both from the same assistant referee.
Quoted from Christian Vieri: "Those weren't division one or even division two referees, they were village referees..." |

I know how you feel missing all the fun parts, painful. _________________ =Farseer=

I have a feeling that a new surprise might just be right around the corner.
What about Germany out? They have to play Cameroun, and germans never liked african team. Besides african teams are unpredictable. I could foresee a cameroun victory (like Croatia just did with Italy).
In the mean time, Ireland would most likely win against Arabia Saudia. And germany would be out.
By the way they said on TV that France is the team that shot the most (19 "targeted" shots) and then comes Germany with 18 (and 9 goals). See ? We're cursed! 19 shots and no goals With only 2 goals, we might have at least 3 more points... _________________ France national football team: let's construct a REAL team... |

Technically, Germany needs a tie to advance (goal difference), then Cameroon will be the first team to eliminate from second round without a loss.
On the other hand, Italy will face a similar dilemma thanks to poor referee performance. If both Mexico and Croatia win against Ecuador, Italy will need to get a few goals margin against Mexico to advance. I think the match between Croatia against Ecuador is easier than Italy against Mexico.

Poor luck and tremendous pressure affects the performance. If France faced Uruguay first, the outcome may be different. The shocking loss from Senegal hurt a lot. |

Hi people. I’m been out on a crazy partying spree so I’m pretty messed up but The World Cup Continues…..
The first match of the day:
Mexico 2 - Ecuador 1
Delgado (4), Borghetti (27, Torrado (56)
Someone else has to update the rest of the games since I’m going to bed now. Won’t be up before Monday, I guess. |

World Cup Day 10
Game 2:
Turkey 1 - COSTA RICA 1
Emre (56), Parks (86)
Turkey is almost out of contention unless they beat China AND Costa Rica
loses to Brazil by a large margin.
Game 3:
Russia 0 - Japan 1
Inamoto (51)
Russia now faces the same dilemma as Argentina, they have to win the last match against Belgium in order to advance.
Teams that have earned second round: Spain, Brazil, Mexico...
Team that have eliminated: Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Slovenia, China, Ecuador... |

Yog is back! I'm feel sorry for you that Italy lost to Croatia. Italy could have won... _________________ =Farseer=

ok...
First: Thanks to all for upgrading every match this topic, it's beginning to become my second home!
Second: i'll speak one time for that match and no more. Italy condamned itself. We begin like we was fighting agaist Brazil or Argentina. We made the first half like sheeps. And we deserved to lose... even we made 2 more goals... REGOLAR GOALS! the first was not offside and the second was not a fault of Inzaghi... BUT as i said before: we deserved it! Trapattoni (our coach) created a team of funks... the team of Croazia put on ground NEAR 400 years of players... (11 players x 36 years each...) the real formation should have been with Totti behind Inzaghi and Vieri from the biginning... more power attack...
Third: I'll not answer any question about how went my weekend or how many bones i've broken or eaten...
(btw: soccer is a game and games will never ruin a weekend with friends! ) _________________ =Member of the NonFlamers' Guild=

Well, it was 11 Italians against 11 Croatians + 1 linesman. You know the odd being robbed.

You gotta believe I am completely amazed how well USA is playing. Bruce Arena just keeps pullin the right strings. The players are like what you need done Boss. Clint Mathis's goal was just tooo pretty, although his wannabe Hawk is stupid. If ever there was playing in enemy territory this is the game. Hopefully they will not call for blood when they loose _________________ Lost in time searching to find my mind |

Yes, quite a bad call by the linesman. He’s officially on holiday from now on.
I hope he learns the off-side rule before returning to the Danish league next season. |
