nVidia driver 30.82 & Morrowind

Did anyone tries the newest nVidia dirver on Morrowind?. It is the 30.82 version, released at August 7.

Some said when tested on 3D benchmarks the FPS actually droped about 100 points from previous driver (version 29.42). But some said the earlier beta release of 30.82 actually increase around 100-200 FPS points. It is unfortunately if the final version didn't performs as good as beta version...

I already installed the newest driver but i only want to get rid of DVD display problem when using 29.42 driver. It did solved that problem, but for Morrowind i didn't take down the FPS point in earlier version to make comparison with 30.82.

Anyway now when i stand infront Ra'Virr's shophouse and facing temple, i got 9 FPS, when facing other directions i usually got higher - around 12 FPS.

setting:
Res = 1024x768, 4x antialiasing
shadow = off
view distance = far (max)
AI distance = near (zero)

i've got the driver too, but I haven't noticed much of a difference. I did start using the new version of the Morrowind Optimizer (Version 1.3) and my FPS icreased by 25. At the moment I'm running the game the best I have ever did before, cept for the falling through the ground thing...

Instead of gett 25-30 FPS I get 40-55 FPS now, so I'm rather happy. This is in a town like Gnises, or Ald'Ruhn however. I'll check up on Vivec and Balmora next time I play.

Running on:

AMD Athlon Xp 1900+
Geforce 3 Ti 500 (Driver 30.82)
512 DDR RAM
and tons of gigabytes left on my harddrives.

I'm running that driver. Didn't notice any difference when I upgraded, although I hadn't "discovered" the framerate counter when I was using the old drivers.

My fps went up by about 4 after getting the new drivers. Although it might have been the new patch for mw, 'cause i got them around the same time, I think. Bah, i cant remember, all i know is the fps went up.

Not much of a difference here, maybe slight performance increase with 4xFSAA.
