Hey people, I just noticed today that Amazon.co.uk changed the release date from 27th june to the 13th of june (thats a novelty, a date being moved forward instead of way-away into the future) !!!
That must mean something (positive) Right?  |

Probably, but probably not. Rumor is a rumor, so don't rely on it.
Just wait until they give us a "gone gold" announcement or some sort. |

If the game is supposed to be released on june 13th then why Atari didnt start advertising?

Well, yeah, june 13th is a rumor so there is not really a point of debating over it...
But I was just referring to how optimistic it seems that a usually responsible company like amazon, actually pushes the release date forward for a start.
They were after all the first to push it backwards every time, in the incessant chain of delays in the past few months, (I know, I was checking at least once a week  ).
Well, we'll have to wait and see (as always  ). |

Some larger Australian online gamestores have now listed G2 (with Atari/Infogrames updated as the supplier) and a date of 18/7 which lends more weight to this date for Australia. I would still be surprised if the US date was much beyond this, although this is just my opinion.
Surprisingly (at least to me) it's priced as a budget title at AUS$49 (instead of the usual AUS$89) or about US$31. |

well i'm not that positive anymore.Sure it would be nice surprise to get Gothic2 released at june 13:th but after all these rumours and "possible release dates", i'm kind of loosing my hope for playing G2 this summer.
Lets hope the best and fear the worst.

Has anyone actually asked WHY the release of Gothic II has been held back so long?
All the localization issues were done and dusted 2 motnhs ago.
I have a horrible feeling its the damn marketing 'genius's ' again.......
