sorencera, your mail reached me.
these news are nice to hear.
you would like to make levelediting and scripting?
fine!
at the beginning i will tell you some short hints to making levels.
1.) creating the level-mesh in the 3d-program of your choice and save as *.3ds.
2.) loading the *.3ds with the spacer.exe
3.) in spacer you can assign/change textures, inserting waypoints, some items like trees, huts etc.

regards
roX

2 problems you might have while looking for english speakers with mod development.
1- The game was just recently released here. The germans have almost a 1 year head start on understanding Gothic mods.

2- The is little or no english documentation on Gothic Mod.

When number two changes, more people will be available.

If an Gothic Mode expert can write some grat, newbiefied mod documentation in english, that would speed up #1.

Thats an interesting weapon the man in the ore-skinned crawler plate model armor has.
What is that?

Oh and I only think the hardcore 1337 multilingual German speaking non-Germans will be your best candidate.

Dont just hire anyone. That is cool of you to bust out an english mod for us. I bow to that!

EEP!

A python programmer!
Is this the same python used in QUArK (Quake Army Knife)?

Plugins for a more sharewarish modeling program!

If I hadnt spent all my money on books, I'd buy that 3d max program and sow you what a babe SHOULD look like.

Well... it might not be too hard to work on the Mods without understanding german.
The Scripts are written in "Deadalus", which is based on C++.
If you have made any experiences in C++ before, it might be quite easy to work with Deadalus.
Another point is, that most functions are written in English. The Spacer is also written in english language. The only problem is the documentation of the Kit, that only exists in german.

Our first point was to find people who want to work on the Speeches.
Our second point was to find people who want to join our team in future projects, except for some specialists who could help us solving problems with our current pfoject.

Sadly I dont know C++ at all. I could translate fairly well to french, spanish, english, but no german sigh I'm no programmer at all. If someone could translate to spanish or french the german docs i could translate them to english though.

Well, the problem is, that the Documentation contains about 16 HTML Pages. Some of them have text of several pages.
It would take its time to translate it completely.
