Tingalf

I solved Marcus's quest. I found the secret warehouse and the note stating that the stash is his. But the note doesn't say anything about Tingalf.

I had a problem with the "Tingalf Suppliers" quest but I found out I was talking to the wrong person. Commander Ralph did have a comment about Tingalf, but I had to talk to the guard in Rivertown market itself - Robin - to get credit for the quest.

I still have the "Find the truth about Tingalf" quest open. When I talk to Trvor in the Merchant's Guild I can ask him about Tingalf but that's all. It's like he keeps giving me the quest over and over. This quest remains open.

Thanks.

Ok, so you reached the point where the guard knows about it and then walks off to confront him... and then nothing happens right? Next time youre there tingalf is still selling stuff, the gaurd is back where he started etc?

This is a known bug. Only for the english language version also as I remember.
What causes it exactly I dont know, youd have to play around with saves from before you give the note to the guard captain.

IT is supposed to be that the gaurd captain walks off, and then tingalf is gone and you solved that quest.

The guard walks off and Tingalf is gone and I got credit for that quest. But there is still the other one with the head of the Merchant's Guild that is left open.

I'm not going to worry about that. It seems I lost another quest too. I heard there's a little girl outside the merchant's guild who wants you to save her cat. But I never talked to her before I went in there. Once in I did the basement. The cat must have gotten loose then. The girl never appears. Darn. Obviously, I love cats and I would have liked getting that one.

Even further off topic, what do you do about the dogs. What pests. They keep biting my heels and could kill me but I certainly don't want to kill them. Usually I just summon a few rats to keep them busy. For some reason I've never had meat in my pack when bothered by one. I've wondered if that would distract them.

Once you kill one dog or cat, they all hate you for the rest of the game.

In my game it was the cats who were bothering me. And Im sure there are a lot more cats than dogs.
