Baldur's Gate II expansion - Shadows Over Soubar |
|
I found this site that features a free Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal expansion - Shadows Over Soubar. The add-on features hundreds of new things, monsters and quests to do. The addon also features new NPGS and new stores to visit. The add-on is said to be a little buggy and the only draw back is that you have to start a new game to utilize the add-on. There are patches at this site to fix the bugs and new ones are added frequently. The add-on requires 485 MEG of space so you better have high speed download capabilities. The site also features screen shots. Highlights of the game are:
Summary
4 new NPC's with their own related quests
1 new kit for the thief class
1 new stronghold
over 100 new areas: both new or recycled
over 400 new creatures to interact with
over 400 new items, most of which can be used by the party
over 20 new stores in which to shop
over 30 mini-quests and 2 major quests
Notes
All the original NPCs as well as the new NPCs interact in new ways throughout the expansion. Nalia and the new NPC Charlotte are particularly interesting when in the same group.

Note: I have not tried this add-on yet; so this is not an endorsment, just something I found |

I downloaded it yesterday. I probably won't have time to play it for awhile. I'll probably save it for a holiday weekend. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

umm last time i tried The Darkest Day and the program crashed every time i got to certain points in the game . This happened with Dark Side of the Coast also . So i am regrettably a tad cautious with expansions from them . Although I will try it, it sounds pretty cool . <starts NetAnts downloading > But it better not crash or I am gonna complain . (Hey! I just got a revelation! Maybe it crashed all the time because I was playing those in multiplayer mode? I should really research this ...) ...
EDIT -- (adding cool CircleGuy stuff to this post. Why? because i can!) _________________

Well, I've only tried the Dark Side Of The Sword Coast before, and I think that it was more of a cheat than anything other. Never bothered to finish though. |

Question is when I will find the time to play that game again? _________________ Money - An article which may be used as a universal passport to everywhere except heaven, and as a universal provider of everything except happiness. |

The answer: As soon as kick ass CRPGs stop being made this year. _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi
