Well according to my dictionary I've been mangling this poor word for years. However, my Oxford has as ending .... crum, so plural it would be simulacra.

Simulacrum is latin, simulacron the 'greekizised' version. And I am, of course, influenced by Daniel F. Galouye's novel 'Simulacron Three' (--> 'Thirteenth Floor' the movie). Never mind  .

As far as I know he was from the USA. Don't think he wrote much, but I liked what I read of his stuff. Another one of those folks who wrote about virtuality.
