Reaching Chapter 2 - all gone |
|
After I enter chapter 2 everything happens, if I play too much the computer auto restart if I save and exit, restart.
If I save and exit most of the times, when i came back I just saw a white screen insted of my saved game, and if I could load then when it finished loading it crashed and said I’m missing some files in:
_Work/data/sounds/...*Orcaxe* or something like that.
When I looked in the directory I didn’t even have a sounds folder.
Anyone? |

Probably its a corrupted savegame or there is something wrong with your system. _________________

I saved the game right before I moved to chapter 2 on a different slot and I tried a few slots but all of them don’t work... (Beside the save game before I moved to chapter 2)
I searched for viruses but nothing; this is the only game that does so much trouble...
I am missing a few folders and files... but I don't know what those files are... I also tried to reinstall the game but nothing...
Anyone? |

Hey there Pikkon,
When you say "i also tried to reinstall the game but nothing" do you mean it would not reinstall, or, you did reinstall but then the games still will not run.
As each save slot uses up some extra hard drive room, i assume you do have the space ? |

The reinstall worked, but the problems aren't gone... still, every time I go to chapter 2 my saved game just disappear or it becomes not accessible (it tells me some files are gone but I can't even find the folder they are talking about... )
And yes, I have a lot of space in my comp, more then 4 times more then G2 weight...
What do you think it is? (And how can I fix it if even possible) |

Hey Pikkon.
I don't think i can help too much, although in you situation anything is worth a try. Maybe if you started a new game, then after the dialogue with Xardas, make a save game, then if that game will not start, then something is seriously wrong, another "wild-shot" would be to use vdfsinit.zip tool, this might just rebuild the vdfs volume (but i doubt it) worth a try, also you have to wait "some time" for the files to be rebuilt. |

Thx, I'll give the vdfsinit.zip a shot... (Once I’ll find it) |

The vdfsinit.zip tool can be found on nico's site:-

good luck.
P.S it can take some time waiting for the rebuild process, you could be fooled into thinking there's nothing happening. |
