they are just there for no use.Maybe they though they could be of some use for some quest that was never completed

The less frequently found coin has a purpose and is in fact (contrary to great belief) an unrealised quest item. However, they seem to get easily dismissed along with the other coins that are found in great numbers in the game.
The least found coin can be "passed-on" to others through the inventory/transaction screen just like the others, but with a difference! ......... and for no cost.....now who could you give them to?......mmm.

If you mean the old coins there is a guy at Onars farm that wil buy them from you. Don`t remmember his name though...

I heard that originaly it was planned that you could have left the mining colony at some point in Gothic 1 but that was never get done and this is the reason why the gold coins are in the game. |
