There's supposedly a cheat to show the entire map of a particular level. It is S O S and I found this in the UHS hint file. Where are these elusive runes or who has them?

There are no runes for these. When you reach the level needed to cast them, you just draw the spell and it happens. Practice them as you go along. I did the stairs early on. Some I never could do. I think I was not drawing them right. But once you find all 20 runes, you should be able to do all the secret words as well.

Ah, I see. So in other words, the secret runes are a combination of some of the original 20 available runes. Well, this could be quickly resolved by using the chicken cheat back in the original jail cell area, but I'd rather not do that. Just would be nice if the 20 or less could be acquired very early in the game. tnx

You don't need all 20 to do the others. I think it is more based on you casting levels and knowledge. I know I did a few and only had a few of the runes at the time. Sorry I didn't make that clear.

I found that out. Finally got the 3xstairs to work and it was time consuming and critical accuracy in casting. Then I was stuck between 2 gates seemingly forever because I negated the spell to walk around and had to recast it to get out, then negate it again to go on through the level. Sure would be nice if a trainer had the spells feature.
And oh yes, I actually got the reveal map spell to work but it only shows a large portion on screen when you hit M. In the journal, all level maps are shown full size, from just invoking the spell once, and you can use that to see yourself move around.
