How to separate multiple items? And repair Item skill |
|
I have about 60 scorpion traps and about 45 lockpicks, purchased from that thief at the Market. Problem is that they weight a LOT, and I really only need to take two or three with me at any time for emergency backup in tight spots. How do I seperate a few out of the pile?
Also, I have one level of Repair Item skill, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to use it. So far it's been a waste of a skill spot. |

It took me a while to figure out repair item too. First of all, you need to wait until you see the outline of a hammer and anvil over your normal equipment icon (on the lower right). You can only repair what is broken and that icon tells something is.
Take off the broken item and put it on the ground. Make repair your active skill. Right click on the item, then left click. You will see the condition go up.
The manual that came with the game says to use Ctrl as you drop the items to cause them to break out into individual pieces. See page 65. Drag multiple items out of your inventory and hold Ctrl while releasing the the mouse cursor. _________________ SilkenKidden

I'm sure I could repair things while I was still wearing them and I don't think you have to wait until it's fully broken. One level of Repair allows you to repair up to 65% of the perfect condition. If the the item is already above 65%, one level of Repair can't improve it yet.
For example, if an item is at 20 when in perfect condition, one level of Repair will only have an effect when the item's condition falls below 13. Using Repair will then bring it back up to 13.
Since items don't deteriorate no matter how many times they're repaired, there's no need to waste more points on Repair - you'll just have to use it more often since you won't get the item past 65%.
(IIRC for all of this ) |

Dhruin is correct.
1. You do not have to wait until is severly damaged or even broken. I tend to scan my equipment every now and then, as there is nothing more annoying than losing your sword in the middle of a huge melee.
2. To use the skill make it your active skill open the equipment panel, right click ... with the cursor OUTSIDE the equipment panel, otherwise the game reads the right click as a close panel command. Your cursor then turns into an animated hammer and anvil. Left click the desired item ... and viola! It is repaired ... upto the max % allowed by your repair skill (if your level is greater than one you've wasted a skill slot!!). _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=
